Windows

Opening windows should be lockable. Infact, Insurance companies often stipulate that the windows must be lockable with the use of a key. Lockable windows have been supplied as standard for over 20 years. Don’t worry however if your windows do not have locks fitted, as additional lock mechanisms can be retro fitted to most windows.

Opening windows have a pair of hinges which can fail. Broken hinges will make it difficult to open/ close the window. A gap between the opening window and the frame may also be apparent. There are many size of hinges and it is important to get a suitable replacement. Worn gearboxes and handles can also be common points of failure.
